The old Bristol Hotel at Pera, Istanbul was about to disintegrate in the early 1980's. Upon the proposal of Has Architects Ltd. Esbank purchased this building. The facade dating from the 19th century was restored to its original state. The interior of the building was reconstructed using a reinforced concrete structure and precast hollow core slabs with a span of 10.60 m. Creating large areas free of columns.
Since the Bank’s liquidation the building has changed owners, and has been transformed into a museum retaining only the original façade.
