The student cafe at the famous Galatasaray High School renovation was completed in 6 weeks, including design and application. The well kept historical building’s structural elements were left untouched, and so a tensile grid lighting system was specially designed for the cafe. A visual link was provided to the school’s football field with the use of seating areas of differing heights. Chess boards and a world map were placed on the central tables. An inspiring panel was designed on one wall, with the portraits and biographies of poets, writers, scientists, actors, artists, athletes and statesmen who had attended the school.
