Galatasaray High School Faculty Housing, Istanbul

The building was constructed in the former location of a building that was severely damaged by the 1999 earthquake. There are two dining hall floors and a basement for storage purposes.
The cafeteria was designed as a contemporary, modest building, with a minimalistic language, scaled to respect the existing old buildings and the landscape on the campus.
Main structure is of reinforced concrete. The structure allows for a 15m.x15m. span on the upper floor that produces a dining hall free of columns.
